About Our Pastor
 
About our Pastor...Upon completion of his B.S. in Business Administration at USC,
Ken entered Dallas Theological Seminary. Ken states, “In all honesty, I went to Dallas
not in response to a “call to ministry” but because of a desire to learn God’s Word.”
But after comprehensive study of God’s Word, Ken concluded that a call was made up
of three specific elements: first, a desire (“It is a trustworthy statement, if a man aspires
to be an overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do.” 1 Tim. 3:1); second, a recognition
by others of the giftedness in ministry; and, finally, an opportunity to be used. After a
pastoral internship Ken never doubted what God had called and privileged him to do.
Preaching the word of God. Now having spent over 18 years as a pastor, Ken is
continuing shepherding his flock at Whispering Pines Baptist Church and is currently
studying for his doctorate in Education.
